Of course the garden cities and new towns were not the only places in Hertfordshire to feature modernist buildings.
The progressive Herts County Council Architects Department built school all of the county in the first 15 years of the post war period. There were also civic centres built in towns like St. Albans and a number of new churches were built as well. On this page we will document some of those buildings.
